DIG'S SWIM/BIKE/RUN Donation Page

Hello friends, family and other curious fundraisers. On August 26, 2001, I will challenge myself to fulfill a long time goal and participate in a sprint distance triathlon (.75k swim, 22k bicycle and 5k run). I am training and participating in this event with a group of very special individuals, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s TEAM IN TRAINING (TNT).

TNT uses events like triathlons, marathons and century bicycle rides as symbols of endurance to raise money for leukemia research and services, to honor patients and their families and to weave connections among all of us. As a member of this team, I have the chance to use my athletic ability to help the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fight the number one killer disease among children.

Many of us know first hand about leukemia. In our families, work places and neighborhoods, we know loved ones and acquaintances that have been diagnosed with a blood-related cancer and have battled the disease. TNT members have dedicated their endurance event to all of those whose lives have been touched by the disease. Training for this triathlon has become a celebration of life.

In 2000, TNT raised over $73 million. With the help of generous people like you, the goal for the 2001 campaign is to raise over $100 million. Unlike some organizations, TNT is committed to donating at least 75% of all monies raised to research, patient aid, and public and professional education programs.

I have pledged to raise $3,800 through individual and corporate sponsorships that will go directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Please join me in helping the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society carry out its mission by making a tax-deductible donation of any size. The donation form can be printed, filled out and mailed directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to me (my address is at the bottom of the DONATION link). Thank you for your support.
